Friday 3rd April 2020

Good Morning Year 3.

You have made some amazing puppets, head over to the year 3 page to see these. We can't wait to see everyone else's later today.

Today Joe Wicks is doing a fancy dress work out at 9am. Why not get involved and send us some pictures of you in your costumes?

For the next two weeks we will not be putting work on the website but keep going with your Reading Eggs, TT Rockstars and daily reading. We will be back after the holidays.

For today's English lesson you need to log onto Purple Mash and go to your 2dos.

In there you will find a text to read called, 'Undercover Zoo'.

Read the  chapter and then complete the quiz and the Billy Cam. Remember to press 'hand work in' so we can see what you have been doing.

Starter - 3 & 4 times table practise. How many can you get correct in two minutes?

Main Task

Remember to complete your 20 minutes Eric time at home. You might spend this time reading to a sibling or parent. You can even use this time to go on Reading Eggs or Nessy.

Continue with your animal puppet. We would love to see as many of these as possible today.

What is a vertebrate?

What in an invertebrate?

Today you are going to go on a vertebrate and invertebrate hunt.

If it is safe to do so, go out into your garden, go on a walk and see what animals you can see. If you can't go outside use the internet to research different animals to fill in the table below.

Have a safe and happy half term Year 3! x

Thursday 2nd April 2020

Good Morning Year 3.

Begin your day again with Joe Wicks at 9am for his PE lesson, or go to Imoves and choose an activity to take part in. Lots of you have told us that you love your morning exercise – perhaps we need to take this on board when we return to school.

Write this part of the story and use the checklist to remind you of what you need to include in your writing. Remember to practise each sentence in your head before you write it and check when you have finished your work. We can’t wait to read your stories so far.

Starter - 4 times table practise. How many can you get in two minutes.

Today we will be focusing on column addition with exchanging.

Task 1 –

Watch this video and have a go at the activities on the website to refresh your mind.

Remember to complete your 20 minutes Eric time at home. You might spend this time reading to a sibling or parent. You can even use this time to go on Reading Eggs or Nessy.

Continue with your animal puppet.

This half term we have been learning about animals including humans.

Copy and paste the link below into your internet browser to find out about vertebrates and invertebrates. There are lots of videos and games for you to watch and play.

Can you tell a grown up what a vertebrate is and what an invertebrate is?
