Christmas Hampers December 2020

For many families, Christmas is just another stress on top of the daily challenges of living. The added expense of providing special things for their family can be overwhelmingly difficult and none of us would want to see other families without a decent meal and a present under the tree. For others, especially those who are alone, it might not seem that anyone cares and it's not worth making the effort.

Well at Dalton School we do care and it is because we care that we decided to raise funds to create Christmas Hampers alongside our local supermarket Morrisons.

Mother's Day Shop 2020

Thank you once again to our parent volunteers who ran our Mother's Day Shop during a very difficult week. A special mention and thank you to Danye and Jade who did all the shopping and bargain hunting then helped all the others to run the shop, selling and wrapping gifts for all the children.

Free Trainers

Dalton School is extremely lucky to keep close ties with past pupils - Robbie Cartwright is one of those pupils. Robbie is a Year 10 student who runs a small enterprise business of his own  buying and selling trainers. Just before the end of Autumn Term 2, Robbie came into school and donated 22 pairs of trainers and/or football boots to some of our children.  For some children it could not have come at a better time, as they had just signed up to the local football team - Dalton Dynamoes Football Club.  The school would like to thank Robbie for his extremely kind generosity.

Santa's Grotto December 2019

Santa came to visit children at Dalton School. Each child received a reading book as a Christmas gift.

Christmas Coffee Morning December 2019

Our Christmas Coffee Morning raised £75.33 for Kirkwood Hospice. Thank you for attending , baking and donating. Our school choir also sounded fantastic too!

FODs Halloween Disco 2019

The children from Reception up to Year 6 enjoyed dressing up for Halloween and dancing the night away with the school's resident DJ, Disco Dave. The children had an amazing time and raised £663.  Thank you to all parents/carers and members of FODs for giving up their time and getting into the spooky spirit!

Harvest Festival 2019

To celebrate 'Harvest', Reverend Ian Jones, from Kirkheaton Church, lead us in a celebration.  As part of our Harvest Festival the children brought food donations that were given to the Huddersfield Town Foundation Food Bank initiative.

Huddersfield Town Foundation

As part of our ongoing support for the Huddersfield Town Foundation  we held a non-uniform day to raise funds and to stay thank you for helping us run our Breakfast Club. Altogether we raised £433.29. Thank you to everyone who donated.

This year, the Fathers' Day Shop raised a massive £780. What a fantastic amount. A very BIG THANK YOU to our FODs committee for their dedication and hard work.
