Achievement for All
Dalton School are proud to have taken part in the 'Achievement for All' programme. Achievement for All is an independent charity that is transforming the lives of vulnerable and disadvantaged pupils, including those with special educational needs and disabilities, those on free school meals and looked after children. Although our funding has now ceased for AfA, we continue to work tirelessly to improve outcomes for all children, especially those who are vulnerable and disadvantaged. The Pupil Premium Grant is used to effectively improve standards for our most disadvantaged children.
We raise the educational aspirations, access and achievement (3As) of pupils, with a focus on wider opportunities, reading, writing, maths, behaviour and attendance.

Below are photos from our recent enrichment day at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park in Bretton, with Year 4 pupils. We all had a fantastic time learning about the artists, sculptures and local environment.
Some of our Year 5 children took part in inter-generational work at Tolson Museum, as part of the Achievement for All programme. The children learnt about toys from the past and the hobbies of older people, whilst sharing their own experiences and stories of school-life and personal interests. Respecting, appreciating and communicating with people from all walks of life was celebrated with a shared 'Big Lunch'.
Thank you to Mrs Holderness, from Kirklees LA, for coaching and supporting the school in the
Achievement for All programme.
