Breakfast Club

More than 100 children attend our breakfast club each morning. The club provides healthy and nutritious breakfasts free of charge, courtesy of the The Huddersfield Town Foundation.

Club Ambassador, Andy Booth, and the Foundation’s corporate fundraising officer, often pop in to see us - together with sponsors from local businesses and Huddersfield Town players.

The breakfast club has had a huge impact on the attendance and punctuality of many children.

We are extremely grateful to Huddersfield Town FC and all the partners, sponsors and parent volunteers.

We employed a Breakfast Club Coordinator, Claire Swannick, who organises the day-to-day management. Parent volunteers and staff members also help run the club.  What superstars they are!

                                                 Defibrilator

The Huddersfield Town Foundation has teamed up with Goals 4 Hearts to place life-saving defibrillators into 18 Breakfast Club schools, Dalton is one of these fortunate schools. This initiative was funded by the money raised in an event called Pedal for Pounds 9 ride where 175 cyclists travelled 282-miles from France to Huddersfield. Mrs Mallinson and Mrs Valentine attended a training session, together with 45 staff from other schools, at the John Smith’s Stadium, where they were shown how and when to use it.  We now have our own defibrillator in school.

We wish to offer a huge thank you to both HTFC and Goals for Hearts.

HELP

We are looking for Parent Volunteers to help run the Breakfast Club.  Duties include helping with breakfast preparation, washing up, taking part in activities with the children etc.

If you are able to offer us some of your spare (it doesn't have to be every day) please speak to Mrs Mosdale

IT'S A KNOCKOUT

The Huddersfield Town Foundation invited our Year 5 and 6 Breakfast Club children to the Alex Graham “It’s a Knockout Competition”. Other schools participating included our neighbours St Josephs and Lowerhouses school. Our children in Year 5 finished in sixth place with Year 6 coming in first place. Well Done to all the children who took part in this fun event.
