Here at Dalton School we take data protection and the responsibility we have for the information we hold, very seriously. So when the new data protection laws came into force in May 2018 we undertook a total review of all our records and processes to make sure we were meeting all the new requirements. We looked at
- all the personal information we hold
- why we were holding it
- how long we were holding it for
- what we were doing with it
- and all our policies, procedures and documents relating to personal information.
As a result we made some changes.
DATA PROTECTION OFFICER
We have appointed a Data Protection Officer. Her name is Jane Bates and if you have any questions regarding the information we hold about you or your child you can contact her by,
Telephone: 01484 538729
These are the new policies specifically relating to data protection.
As a data subject (someone we hold information about) you have certain rights, these and other aspects of the new law are explained in our privacy notices.
We have identified that we do not always have a legal reason for holding or processing some of the information in the way that we do. So before we do we need to get your consent. The school consent forms are below.
SUBJECT ACCESS REQUESTS
You have the right to see the information we have about you. If you want to do so please contact the school office. You do not need to complete the form below but it may help us to process your request faster if you do.
If you think there has been a breach of information then the data protection officer must be informed immediately by completing the form below and emailing it to her at one of the email addresses shown above for her.
